D1025 'Western Guardsman' arrives at Redruth with 1A45, the 1225hrs Penzance to Paddington on 25 Aug 1975. Withdrawal of the Westerns was underway by this time and D1025 had only another six weeks of service left. Carn Brea Castle can be seen on the hill behind the train.
