LU S8 stock from Watford to Baker Street departing from affluently-situated Moor Park on a grey Sunday afternoon, 12th March 2023. This section of the Metropolitan Line opened on 8th July 1889 but it was not until 9th May 1910 that a wooden halt called Sandy Lodge was opened here. It was renamed Moor Park & Sandy Lodge on 18th October 1923 and finally to simply Moor Park on 25th September 1950. It was stylishly rebuilt as a four platforms station in 1961 for electrification of the line from Rickmansworth to Amersham and Chesham.
