A rail mounted travelling crane served the east end of Clyde Place Quay, the rails stretching from the King George V Bridge to Glasgow Bridge and the crane passing under the two Clyde Viaducts on the approach to Glasgow Central. The rails remain in place on this south bank quay and can be seen in this view looking west. Canmore has a photograph of this crane: https://canmore.org.uk/collection/1228139
