Birmingham International
This pensive Pendolino was stationary in platform 4 at Birmingham International. According to realtime trains, that platform would offer me a stopping train to Euston. I was really looking forward to my three minute ride to Hampton-in-Arden - possibly my shortest ever ride on a pendo - but I had to catch a unit from platform 5 instead. The tail lights on the London end of the Pendolino were a bit of a giveaway; as was the panel by the door which said that the next stop was Preston. Another sign said the next train at this platform does not stop here - which might have been true, but you'd have to move this one out first.
