Midland Metro (since renamed West Midlands Metro) trams nos. 29 and 19 with services to Wolverhampton and Birmingham respectively at West Bromwich Central, on 8th December 2016. This section of the tramway runs along the alignment of the former GWR main line, once served by London Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside expresses until 1967 and just local trains thereafter until closure in 1972. The original West Bromwich station has been demolished.
