Seen through a zoom lens from train waiting to depart for Riddings, from the Midland Railway Centre's station at Hammersmith, here is the oddly-shaped Hammersmith signal box with the normal-shaped signalman, on 4th May 2019. This box was originally at Kilby Bridge on the Midland Main Line near Leicester and dates from 1900. It was closed by BR on 29th June 1986, moved to the MRC and re-erected at Hammersmith in 1987 before commissioning in September 1989.
