Thanet Parkway
View from top of steps/lift on platform 1 across the tracks to platform 2 at the new Thanet Parkway station, on the Ashford to Ramsgate line in Kent, on its First Day, Monday, 31st July 2023. These halt-like structures are only marginally more adequate than the bus stop style waiting shelters all the way along the lengthy platforms as can be seen in this rather crowded view, First Day visitors being forced to seek shelter during yet another heavy downpour on a day that was more like early winter than mid-summer.
