Approximately 5 miles south of Darlington a branch turned west off the ECML at Eryholme Junction and ran to the town of Richmond in North Yorkshire. The first station on the branch was Moulton, seen here in June 2011. more than 40 years after closure. The wall runs along the edge of the Richmond bound platform, while the Darlington platform still stands just off picture to the right. Photographed from the site of the former level crossing looking south west towards the next station at Scorton.
