Grange Hill station was opened by the GER on 1st May 1903 with its Fairlop Loop between Woodford and Ilford and first served by London Underground trains on 21st November 1948, making 2023 the 75th anniversary year of tube trains first appearing here. The wall and stanchion are original but the wooden platform canopies have been replaced. This view is from a Central Line service that has come from Ealing Broadway via Woodford and will continue back to the west London terminus via Newbury Park, making a complete clockwise circuit of the Hainault Loop as it is now called, on the afternoon of Saturday, 1st July 2023.
