Hoghton Tower
Recently transferred from East Midland Trains, 156403 still has smart new vinyls and paintwork as it climbs to the summit at Hoghton with a Colne to Preston stopper on 14th August 2023. The boarded footpath crossing behind the train marks the site of Hoghton Tower station, serving the nearby manor house, which opened and closed in the 1840s. Hoghton station itself lasted until 1960.
