Caernarfon
Welsh Highland Railway Garratt No.143 at the Caernarfon terminus of the WHR on 6th April 2019. This UK Railtours' charter left Blaenau Ffestiniog on the Ffestiniog Railway, behind 'Linda' and Blanche', with a half hour stopover at Porthmadog to change locomotives. Caernarfon is on the trackbed of the former Afon Wen to Bangor standard gauge line south of the now demolished Caernarfon station that stayed open for trains to Bangor until 1970, after trains south to Afon Wen were withdrawn in 1964.
