Swanage
43007 is appropriately surrounded by friends and family, keen to see its last run (XC/BLS 'Pines Express' - XC's farewell to its HSTs) before retirement and possible scrapping. There were eight coaches in the formation, but no lack of speed, comfort, or general classiness. The train started at Leeds and ran through Derby, Tamworth, Leamington, Banbury, Oxford, Reading, Basingstoke, Eastleigh and Bournemouth on its way to Wareham and the coast.
