Deadwater
An early morning scene on the trackbed of the Border Counties Railway in the autumn od 2007 under a weak October sun. View is south towards the former station at Deadwater, 6 miles out of Riccarton Junction on the route to Hexham, with the border itself approximately 3 miles behind the camera. This was a little used station even by Border Counties standards and closed to passengers in 1956.
