Martholme Viaduct
For many years the viaduct at Martholme was inaccessible but is now a feature of a trackbed greenway that leads to it from Mill Lane in Great Harwood. This is the view towards Simonstone in September 2023. Unfortunately, while the full length of the viaduct is accessible and affords fine views, it is not (yet) possible to continue on the trackbed beyond the bridge towards Padiham. See image 20590 for the view of this impressive curving structure from ground level.
