A view of the light and airy Moynihan Train Hall at New York Penn Station, opened to the public on 1 January 2021. While the facilities are a welcome improvement, the connections between the New Jersey Transit facilities in the original station and the Amtrak and Long Island Railroad facilities in the Moynihan Train Hall are confusing to say the least, the various parts of Penn Station not being well integrated. The airy atrium is within the restored Beaux-Arts Farley building, a protected structure which resembles the original Penn Station.
