Billericay
The down platform at Billericay, Essex, seen from 720544 calling with the ex-15.10 Greater Anglia service from Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street at 15.34 on Friday, 15th September 2023. Travelling from Liverpool Street, Billericay is the first of the Essex dormitory towns, followed by Wickford, Rayleigh, Hockley and Rochford, on the Southend Victoria branch from Shenfield that contribute to the line's heavy outer-London commuter traffic which increased enormously after the line was electrified on 31st December 1956.
