Barnoldswick Junction

This is Barnoldswick Junction in October 2023. Passenger trains ceased on the branch in 1965, and goods the following year, but trains continued to pass on the Colne to Skipton line until February 1970. Partially concealed in the undergrowth, in the 'V' of the branch and the Colne line, was the foundation of the small Midland signal box that controlled the junction and issued the single line tokens for branch trains.
