Lumphinnans Colliery Pits Nos 11 and 12
Lumphinnans Colliery Pits Xi and Xii were located east of Kelty, served by the original route of the Kinross-shire Railway from Lumphinnans to Kelty South Junction. The pits closed in 1966 and the Kelty South to Lumphinnans link closed the year after. Little remains other than this short length of roadway which was to the south of the pits. The railway alignment was on the right hand side of this view (which looks west) with the pits and washery beyond. The whole site is now a landscaped field. Some portions of the bings remain.
