Prescot
Although Prescot's station buildings appear unchanged from my last visit in 2011 36199, the line has of course been electrified and with that the signal box and semaphores 36007 have disappeared. 319368 was on a Wigan to Lime Street all stations stopping service. These operate to a half hour frequency, supplemented by the hourly Blackpool services that only call at St Helens and Huyton on this section. Four EMUs can maintain the stopping service, on this day three 319s and a 331/1 were in use.
