Although no notes were kept for this 1969 photograph, I think it shows a Class 27 reversing empty timber wagons out of the northbound platform at Crianlarich, while a Glasgow-bound service pauses in the station. I imagine that the 27 was reversing its train down the spur to the former Caledonian line, to deposit the wagons at the Crianlarich Lower timber depot.
