Wyke Regis Halt: This reproduction sign tells you where Wyke Regis halt used to be on the Portland branch. It is clearly visible in winter, perhaps not so much in summer; and is located on the West side of the trackbed.
Macclesfield: The BR era signalbox at Macclesfield as seen in September 2016.
Rosewell and Hawthornden: A bright spring morning at Rosewell and Hawthornden on 18 March 2021. Photograph taken from steps alongside the picnic area that now occupies part of the old up platform. View is north east along the route of the Peebles Loop towards Bonnyrigg, with the junction for the Penicuik branch behind the camera.
Reston: An Azuma speeds past the future site of the new replacement Reston station. Works to build the station have seen an area of farmland cleared and the beginning of the widening of the railway embankment.
Inverkip Tunnels: Clayton D8507 leaves Inverkip Tunnel on Sunday 11 August 1963 with a train of empty stock destined for Wemyss Bay. D8507 later received blue livery but was withdrawn in December 1971 and made its way to R A King's at Norwich, with several other classmates, for scrapping in 1975.
Powderhall Loop: A Class 60 on Binliner duty does some pottering on the since-closed Powderhall branch. Housing now occupies the area to the right all the way back to Broughton Road, the distant bridge.
Colinton Tunnel: Interior of Colinton Tunnel on the former Balerno branch in Edinburgh, now an official footpath, looking north on 11th September 2017. This line was opened on 1st August 1874 with the last passenger train running on 1st November 1943 although official closure to passengers was not until 1st June 1949. Freight trains continued (with some enthusiasts' specials also occasionally traversing the line) until complete closure on 4th December 1967.
Beamish Open Air Museum: A one horsepower shunter at Beamish Museum in 1989. Looks like it had a tender behind...
Crossbarry: Trackbed at Crossbarry looking towards the former station, just over half a mile to the east. Access to the former station from this section is not possible as it is blocked by private farm land. Few sections of the former trackbed of the CB&SCR are walkable, the longest being a dedicated cycle and walkway section further west between the former Innoshannon (now Innishannon) Viaduct and Bandon.
Leamington spa: Compared to the TPE allocated Class 68s (See image [[70350]]) those on Chiltern duties look rather plain and do not carry names. This is 68015, seen at Leamington Spa working from Birmingham Moor Street to Marylebone, on 21st November 2018.
Kilpatrick: 320413 heads east from Kilpatrick and passes under the Erskine Bridge on 27 April 2017.
