Location type

Sidings

Name and dates

Bonnington (Rosebank) Goods (1903-1966)

Opened on the Leith New Lines (Caledonian Railway).

Description

This goods depot was from the Leith New Lines (Caledonian Railway). This was the Caledonian Railway's equivalent goods depot to the North British Railway's Bonnington Goods.

The yard was on the north side of the line, reached by a reversing spur which was approached from the west.

Following singling of the line a long loop was retained here, running from the reversing spur to Leith Walk West Goods.

The site is now an industrial estate off Newhaven Road.
