Name and dates

Burnmill Level Crossing

Opened on the Leven Railway.

Description

This level crossing was west of Leven [1st]. Initially it crossed the west end of that station's loop, and the Kirkland siding on its south side which gave access to Leven Dock.

After doubling the loop lines were the double track and there was no connection here to the Kirkland siding, which was now also access to the station goods yard - the Kirkland siding being connection to the double track to the east at Leven [2nd] station. There was a small signal box on the north side of the line, west side of the road.

The road is now a footpath, as is the former railway.
