Description
A coal mine of unknown name to the west of High Monkshead. A short siding from the south east approached the site, leaving the Spireslack branch from just north east of the division between the Galawhistle Pit and Spireslack Colliery No 1 Pit lines. In the immediate area was a smithy (to the north), several quarries and shafts, and the Coal Burn.
