Name and dates

Cullen Seafield Street Viaduct (1886-1968)

Opened on the Moray Coast Railway (Great North of Scotland Railway).

Description

This disused single track viaduct is immediately west of the former Cullen station. To the west are Cullen Castle Street Viaduct, Cullen North Deskford Street Bridge and Cullen Burn Viaduct.

This viaduct has four main arches and two minor arches. The second (from the east) crosses Seafield Street and has small arches on either side for pedestrians. The southern aspect of the viaduct is more detailed with blank panels over the Seafield Street arch and on either side above the pedestrian arches. Above the pedestrian arches the bridge parapets have corbelled castle-like projections.
