Seat of George Leveson-Gower, 1st Duke of Sutherland.
Seat of George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland, for whom it was largely rebuilt. The architect was Charles Barry.
Seat of George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 3rd Duke of Sutherland. The duke owned the Duke of Sutherland's Railway and has his own Dunrobin Castle station which is still open and public today.
