Falkirk Aluminium Works (1944-2004)

Description

This was originally a Second World War rolling mill factory opened in 1944. Further aluminium rolling mills were opened here in 1961. The works was closed by Alcan in 2004.

Railway access was from the east, from Fouldubs Junction. The connection to this line was made close to the former Bainsford Junction.

The railway access closed before the works, ceasing around 1991. The works closed in 2004.
