Foynes (1858-1963)
Opened on the Limerick and Foynes Railway.
This was the terminus of a line from Limerick, opened in 1858.
This station closed to passengers in 1963. It remained remarkably intact for goods traffic, the final freight train carrying molasses running in 2000. The line remains out of use.
