Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) London Kings Cross to Leeds train de-rails at 115mph and crashes at Hatfield, killing 4 people, when the railway track breaks due to gauge corner cracking. Over 100 speed restrictions were applied across the railway network where similar track wear was known.
