Description
This is a single platform station, a terminus. The platform is on the south side of the line with a car park to its south.
It was the site of the Maesteg [1st] station before it was moved west to Maesteg Castle Street to allow the site to be used for sidings. That station closed in 1970 and the present station opened in 1992, after the line north had closed to coal traffic.
