This small one road shed was on the east side of the passenger platforms of Milngavie station, approached (like the station) from the south. It was sandwiched, the goods yard was to the east.

It adjoined platform 1 and was south of the main station building. A metal fence stopped passengers from falling off the platform onto the shed line (or stopped their accessing it).

The turntable was west of the passenger platforms and east of the Ellangowan Paper Mill branch. (The original turntable was at the north end of platform 1 - which was the original platform.
