20/08/1861 | Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway Extended from Wicklow Junction to Kilcommon (a temporary terminus roughly 1 mile NE of Rathdrum - awaiting completion of viaduct to enter Rathdrum). Wicklow [1st] remains in use and no new station opens on the new line at this time, southbound trains reversing out to continue their journey south. |
