Opened on the Clifden Branch (Midland Great Western Railway).

Description

This station was around a mile west of the, from 1895, Midland Great Western Railway Recess Hotel. The hotel was better served by Recess Hotel Platform which opened in 1902.

There was a road junction here, with the main road going west to Clifden and east to Galway and another road going north to Kylemore.
