Description

This mine was opened by the Alloa Coal Company. It was served by a railway from Tillicoultry station, the line running alongside the main line on the approach to the station where there was an exchange yard on its south side. It closed in 1957. The mine was originally known as Drummie and is better known as simply Tillicoultry Mine.
