The closed line between Maryhill, Dawsholm and Anniesland, which is to be re-opened for Glasgow to Maryhill trains to turn back at Annieland, is being prepared for re-opening. Trees have been removed from the trackbed. Opening the line will increase capacity at Westerton, where Maryhill trains currently turn back, to allow the new services to Larkhall to run through Westerton.
