A southbound train runs through the site of Heriot station on the Borders line in April 2019. A pedestrian underpass was built here to replace the former level crossing in preparation for reopening of the line in 2015. At the same time a new road with rail overbridge, linking the village with the A7, was constructed half a mile to the south.
