Headed by two Derby Sulzer Type 2s with a BRCW Type 2 in between, The Royal Highlander to Euston prepares for the off at Aviemore in the Autumn of 1967. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, it was not unusual for this 1900 departure from Inverness to be triple-headed, with 16 vehicles in the consist.
