Intermittent short lengths of track for the third line between Glasgow and Paisley are either in place or, as here, waiting to be properly bedded in. This view on 2 May looks east from Hillington West station where the points in the foreground will presumably allow access to the westbound platform. In the background a new but uncommissioned signal gantry is now in place.

The 15.00 service from Glasgow Central to Ayr westbound at Arkleston Junction on 31 August, passing the greenery on the left that marks the path of the old Renfrew Line. Track workers are at the ends of the goods loops perhaps preparing for the third track. The loops looked decidedly rusty today.
