A supermarket has been evacuated and a railway line closed as firefighters tackled a blaze involving gas cylinders. The fire broke out in the premises of a jetski service and parts centre at around 6.30pm on Monday evening. Fire crews found a 'well developed fire' when they arrived on the scene at Jetski Ecosse on Portland Road in Irvine, Ayrshire. Inside they discovered acetylene cylinders, which they said pose a 'significant and unpredictable rupture/explosion hazard' when heated in fires.
