Sandy the squirrel's St Andrew's Day journey [Scottish Wildlife Trust]

Date: 30/11/2011

Sandy the Squirrel has arrived in Aberdeen for a very special St Andrew's Day journey. In times gone by, red squirrels used to be able to travel from one side of Scotland to the other without touching the ground; however, due to habitat loss, urban development and changing land use, this journey is not now possible... unless you travel by public transport!
