Railway work on track [Northumberland Gazette]

Work on a major historic railway scheme is on the right track, with hopes that the first phase will be completed in July.
The Aln Valley Railway (AVR) project aims to rebuild the Alnmouth to Alnwick branchline.
It is now full steam ahead after a lease was signed between Northumberland Estates and the Aln Valley Railway Society earlier this year.
