Liverpool Lime Street underground station shut for refurbishments [BBC]

Date: 22/04/2013

The underground station at Liverpool Lime Street has been closed for four months to allow refurbishment work to take place. The lower-level platform at the station will be shut until 22 August, during which time no Wirral services will stop at the station. A Merseyrail spokesman said passengers for Wirral should use Moorfields, James Street or Liverpool Central instead. The work will not affect services to Lime Street's main station.
