CAPACITY on the East Coast Main Line is being boosted after the opening of a £47 million flyover which will eliminate conflicting movements on a key section of the route. The new structure takes Cambridge-bound trains over the rest of the main line at Hitchin, and has started to be used from today. [From Crinan Dunbar]
