Tata Steel in Scunthorpe is winding back the clock with an order for a brand new steam locomotive. Decades ago, supplying railways was an important source of orders for the industry until British Railways decided to do away with them - the last being built in 1960. However, an exciting project is now under way to built a new engine, No. 2007 Prince of Wales. What is described as the first major milestone in the process - the procurement of the engine’s frames - has now been confirmed. [From Richard Buckby]
