Govia wins Thameslink rail franchise [BBC News]

The franchise to run the expanded Thameslink rail network has been awarded to Govia Thameslink, a joint venture majority-owned by Go-Ahead. The new Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern (TSGN) franchise will run for seven years from this September. The rail franchise is the largest in the UK in terms of passenger numbers, trains, revenue, and staff.
