Cars will be banned from Edinburgh's Waverley Station from next Monday. It follows the completion of three years of work to refurbish and upgrade the station's entrances.

The Klondyke side of Waverley station on Boxing Day 2006. Due to fog at most of the English airports in the run up to Christmas, traffic on the railways 'boomed'. Folks scramble off a recently arrived 125 to reach the taxi rank on the right.
