A short film marking 50 years since publication of the Beeching Report on 'The Reshaping of Britain's Railways' has been commissioned by the National Railway Museum and is currently being put together by producer Esther Johnson. Some of the scenes are being shot on the former Waverley route (see adjacent images). Bruce McCartney will be appearing (he tells me Sean Connery was unavailable) and has provided one or two photographs showing some of the activity so far. The film is due for completion in March 2013 watch this space!
