Ballater’s former station was badly damaged by fire in the early hours of Tuesday 12th May. The fire is thought to have started in the restaurant area. [See earlier BBC News item]. Investigations are ongoing. Meantime Drew McLelland has kindly provided Railscot with a photo-update on the situation following a visit there on 18 May.
