The inaugural public run of restored 60103 Flying Scotsman on 6th Feburary 2016 started in appalling weather but, despite this, vantage points were full of spectators. 60103 Flying Scotsman approaches Lostock Hall on 4 February 2016 on a loaded test run from Carnforth. This was the locomotive's first outing on the main line since its lengthy overhaul.
