'Desperate' commuters on Southern trains are considering a fare strike and will hold a demonstration at Victoria station tomorrow in a 'show of anger'. Hundreds of people have expressed an interest in the rush hour demonstration, scheduled for 5.30pm, claiming lives are being 'ruined' by the company's service. The event is being held on the first day of Southern's emergency timetable, which will see 341 trains a day cut from the network. Operator Govia Thameslink, hit by a series of strikes by staff over the role of conductors, said the changes were necessary after 'unprecedented' levels of train crew sickness
